We are seeking an experienced External Communications Manager to lead and align our Business Area (BA) Port Solutions’ external communication activities. In this key role, you will play a central part in how we represent ourselves to our customers and other external stakeholders, combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to content and execution.

The position can be based in Hyvinkää or Espoo. We work in a hybrid model, with an expectation of being at the office 1-2 times per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, drive and execute external communication in close cooperation with Business Unit (BU) Marketing, with a strong hands-on approach to content and execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade media.
- Manage and harmonize the press release process across BA and BUs.
- Create high-quality BA-level content to strengthen our technology leadership.
- Plan and oversee social media activities in line with the agreed guidelines.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications to align activities and enhance brand awareness.
- Act as a key user of external communication tools.
- Ensure consistent BA-level communication and provide support to BU marketers.
- Maintain and continuously improve external communication guidelines and processes.
- Manage advertising activities and compile media activity reports.
- Measure communication performance using data-driven methods.
What we expect:
- A strong background in communications and a solid understanding of external communications, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluent English skills in both writing and speaking (near-native level), with the ability to produce clear, structured, and professional content. Additional languages are an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of digital communication tools and the ability to support others in using them.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Curiosity to learn about our industry, products, technology, and people - and a willingness to embrace change.
- Ability working under pressure, managing deadlines, and handling multiple stakeholders and tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive and structured way of working, combined with openness to learning, considering different perspectives, and giving and receiving clear, constructive feedback.
Why join us:
