Job Description

Duties:

Various projects, technologies and locations: Welcome to the assembly and commissioning team for straddle carriers! Our products are used wherever containers are moved, transferred and stacked in large numbers. Our working machines have to withstand the toughest operating conditions. It will be your job to ensure that this succeeds in the future.

  • Specifically you will set to work on assembling, installing and commissioning straddle carriers correctly at KC assembly sites e.g. in Gdansk, at customer locations around the world, so that these machines work in a powerful, efficient and eco-friendly way.
  • You will assemble straddle carriers utilising mobile cranes. This involves e.g. to do high strength mechanical connections according to protocols, connect hydraulic pipes, assemble access platform, ladders etc., adjust and commission the hydraulic system
  • You will connect electrical cables to terminal boxes and electrical components, check functions, and be responsible for fine adjustment and inspection of electrical components and assemblies, do electric commissioning of straddle carriers
  • If an error or malfunction occurs, you will search for (and find) the source of the error and ensure that the machine is running properly again.
  • It goes without saying that you will also carry out modifications, maintenance and service work on the straddle carriers.
  • Gradually you will become a professional in dealing with the hydraulic and electrics control systems in our straddle carriers, because in addition to practical work and discussions with (international) colleagues, regular training courses are also included in the program.

Qualifications

Your profile:

  • Qualified electronic/electrical engineer or mechatronics engineer
  • Ability to read mechanic, hydraulic and electrical drawings
  • Ability to perform works accurately and thoroughly
  • Skills in making technical reports
  • Experience in team project execution
  • Ability to find a way out of conflict situations, good communication skills
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • Several years of experience in the supervision and/or commissioning of electrical/electrical and hydraulic engineering systems
  • Field-tested knowledge of inverters, generators, hybrid batteries, PLC control systems, Displays, bus systems and Ethernet (switch, IP configuration, WLAN), knowledge of drive technology and hydraulics
  • Capable of working at heights of up to approx. 15 m plus good English and willingness to travel worldwide (assignments abroad for several months e.g. Australia, North- and South America, South Korea, Africa or also within Europe).

Reliable, solution-oriented personality who communicates clearly and openly in English and who meets every challenge constructively.
