Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Budapest, Hungary. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing electrical designs for a variety of projects, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry standards.

  • Develop and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for diverse engineering projects
  • Perform complex electrical calculations and analysis to support design decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Utilise advanced electrical design software to create and maintain project documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to resolve engineering challenges
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for design processes and methodologies
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in electrical design

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 2-4 years of industrial experience in electrical design engineering
  • Proficiency in reading and creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Hands-on experience with electrical engineering aspects, including switchgear selection, cable sizing, frequency drives, and motor calculations
  • Strong knowledge of industrial standards and regulations relevant to electrical systems
  • Expertise in electrical design software such as E3 schematic, EPLAN, or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools (e.g., Team Center PLM) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and their integration with electrical designs
  • Awareness of ISO 14001, 45001, IEC, and CSA norms
  • Experience in the crane industry or material handling sector is advantageous
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, in English
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement
