We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Budapest, Hungary. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing electrical designs for a variety of projects, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry standards.
- Develop and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for diverse engineering projects
- Perform complex electrical calculations and analysis to support design decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components
- Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices
- Utilise advanced electrical design software to create and maintain project documentation
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to resolve engineering challenges
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for design processes and methodologies
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in electrical design
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 2-4 years of industrial experience in electrical design engineering
- Proficiency in reading and creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience with electrical engineering aspects, including switchgear selection, cable sizing, frequency drives, and motor calculations
- Strong knowledge of industrial standards and regulations relevant to electrical systems
- Expertise in electrical design software such as E3 schematic, EPLAN, or AutoCAD Electrical
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools (e.g., Team Center PLM) and Microsoft Office suite
- Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and their integration with electrical designs
- Awareness of ISO 14001, 45001, IEC, and CSA norms
- Experience in the crane industry or material handling sector is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, in English
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations
- Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement
