Context
The Data Science Lab of Konecranes was created in September 2019. This centralized team of 15 members gathers Data scientists, Data analysts and Machine Learning experts that harvest value from Konecranes data. Our target: build AI and machine learning solutions for all Konecranes business areas.
Konecranes will permit you to integrate into a worldwide group, see from the inside what happens in industries, and play a vital role in Konecranes Data Science transformation by industrializing Machine Learning models developed by our Data scientists.
Job description
Today, the Data Science Lab team is looking for an enthusiastic and curious Data Scientist - GenAI to complete its current roster. Our candidate will be a team player with previous experience in Generative AI (GenAI) field. By joining Konecranes you will belong to a small team focused on providing strategic GenAI solutions for the company. The results of your work will be visible at the company’s scale and you will contribute actively to the improvement of Konecranes employees productivity/efficiency.
We cocreate our solutions and work closely with business. We constantly explore new technologies and implement them. As a consequence, we are looking for a person eager to grow, to learn and to work on a cutting edge technology.
Main missions:
- Design, develop, and deploy Gen AI applications and improve the existing ones.,
- Contribute to our internal python package targeted at standardizing our development practices,
- Optimize process to process and convert unstructured data documents into structured formats,
- Create and manage embeddings and develop a robust knowledge base to support chatbot functionality,
- Develop and deploy APIs for chatbot solutions in the cloud connecting to external systems and various data sources,
- Efficiently collaborate with a PO and agile team members,
- Collaborate with developers and integrate chatbot systems into various platforms, such as websites, mobile apps, messaging applications, voice assistants, or CRM. Ensure seamless integration and compatibility with existing systems and APIs;
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to fine-tune chatbot performance and improve user interactions,
- Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests for chatbot model serving and API endpoints,
- Troubleshoot and debug chatbot solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Competencies and skills:
- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems or Machine Learning engineering related fields,
- At least a previous significative experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or AI Developer, particularly in the generative AI domain,
- Good understanding of machine learning notions such as neural networks, NLP, classification, regression, clustering, random forests, etc;
- Strong understanding of generative AI concepts such as Large Language Models (LLM), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings...
- Proficient in Python, machine learning, and prompt engineering skills,
- Comfortable with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Git knowledge,
- Familiar with DevOps concepts,
- Experience with a major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP),
- Fluent in English (mandatory), French would be appreciated,
- Curious about data science and AI, with a keen interest in generative AI advancements,
- Comfortable with working using the agile methodology (Scrum),
- Team player, open to continuous improvement, proactive.
