Job Description

We are currently looking for a Country Director who will lead the Philippine Market in attaining its business objectives, and who shall also oversee the sales team in ensuring continuous growth of the Company.

Job Purpose:

The Country Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the country organization to ensure achievement of business objectives, sustainable growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. The role leads business operations while ensuring alignment with corporate and regional strategies, safety standards, compliance requirements, and organizational values.

The position carries full accountability for the assigned business unit, whether it be equipment or service, and the overall country performance, including meeting sales targets, country financial results, business development, customer relationships, operational effectiveness, people leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the sales or business unit strategy aligned with overall company goals, to achieve the overall country strategy.
  • Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability, identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets, as well as identify opportunities for market expansion and business growth.
  • Translate corporate goals into actionable operational plans.
  • Drive long-term organizational sustainability and competitiveness.
  • Lead organizational transformation and change initiatives.

2. Business Performance Management

  • Own and deliver sales targets, P&L, and KPIs
  • Monitor performance through dashboards and reports; take corrective actions as needed
  • Forecast revenue, pipeline, and resource requirements

3. Financial Management

  • Manage country Profit and Loss (P&L) performance.
  • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against established targets.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient use of organizational resources.

4. Sales and Customer Management

  • Strengthen relationships with strategic customers and stakeholders.
  • Support business development and sales growth activities.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Review major commercial opportunities and contract negotiations.
  • Identify emerging customer and market requirements.

4. Operations Management

  • Lead country operations and service delivery activities.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and process effectiveness.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure quality standards and service excellence are achieved.
  • Monitor performance metrics and operational KPIs.

5. Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Promote and reinforce organizational safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Support sustainability and ethical business practices.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

6. People Leadership and Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales/business teams, as well as the Country’s Leadership team members
  • Drive employee engagement and performance culture, and identify capability gaps and partner with People & Culture on training needs
  • Support succession planning and talent development.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, customer focus, and results orientation
  • Foster collaboration and organizational effectiveness.

7. Reporting and Stakeholder Management

  • Provide regular business updates and insights to senior leadership
  • Present performance reviews, risks, and growth plans

8. Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Holder, Engineering graduates preferred

Experience: Minimum of at least 10 years related work experience.

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies

  • Advanced to expert knowledge in the use of SAP, CRM, Microsoft Office applications, Power BI reports.
  • Knowledgeable in problem solving techniques, root cause analysis, market analysis, sales leadership and business development, contract negotiation and deal structuring, risk management, and local legislations as well as safety standards.
  • With at least 10 years of experience in managing teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
