We are now looking for a Chief Project Engineer, Electrics to join our awesome team and take responsibility for electrical engineering and design of automated cranes in complex and demanding delivery and development projects.
This role is based in our headquarters in Hyvinkää, Finland and requires working from the office 1–3 days a week.
Your key responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing electrical engineering tasks in customer projects and development initiatives to fulfil our business goals.
- Securing that engineering will be executed according to specification, defined standards and regulations, Konecranes engineering principles and processes.
- Reporting and ensuring the engineering progress, schedule and budget.
- Collaborating closely with the project teams and other stakeholders to secure smooth progress.
- Leading the whole project engineering by guiding the work of defined resources, ensuring all engineering works are performed, and verifying final approval of technical solutions and documentation.
What should you bring?
We’re looking for someone who’s target-oriented, brings a positive attitude, and is open to travelling around 20–50 days per year, sometimes on short notice. You’ll need a BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, along with hands-on experience in electrical engineering and leading design projects in an international business environment.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Minimum 3 years experience of engineering in machine building industry
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Experience in industrial automation
- Experience managing design projects across borders
- Product development experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English, Finnish language skills are a plus
