Job Description
JOB POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Administrator performs routine accounting duties, following appropriate procedures to ensure timely and accurate preparation. Refers difficult or unusual problems to appropriate personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Review invoice for proper coding and approvals and enter into payables system, in accordance with established guidelines.
- Research problems and resolve or refer to other personnel, as appropriate.
- Maintains documentation for compliance to policies and procedures for internal audits.
- Provide backup coverage for the accounting function, as required.
- Prepare and type documents and perform other administrative needs, as required.
- Maintain files in accordance with established procedures.
- Support any special projects, as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Fluet in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) with the ability to communicate effectively in professional and business context.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and PC skills required.
- Must be dependable and willing to work additional hours, as required.
- Good Microsoft skills related to Outlook, Excel, and other Office software.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, or equivalent work experience.
