Job Description

Role Description:

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting business operations within the Industrial Service & Equipment Cranes division (overhead cranes and hoists). This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting decision-making, and driving operational efficiency in line with Konecranes’ global standards.

Key Tasks :

  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate general ledger entries, financial statements, and monthly/quarterly/year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS), Konecranes Group accounting policies, local laws, financial regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate financial documentation.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and bankers to provide required documentation and schedules.
  • Prepare and submit statutory tax filings (Sales and Service Tax (SST), corporate tax, withholding tax, e-invoice etc.) in accordance with Malaysian tax regulations.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on project costing, service revenue, spare parts, and equipment sales margins.
  • Support management with financial insights for pricing, profitability analysis, and budgetary control.
  • Provide cost variance analysis for service operations and manufacturing-related activities.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Review and approve advance payment in a timely manner.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Support implementation of SAP/ERP enhancements and ensure data integrity.
  • Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 standard

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or any related field
• Hold a recognized professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent certification (added advantage). 


Additional Information

Skills & Competencies  
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) 
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Word & Excel skills 
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills 
• Effective communication and ability to work under deadlines
