Project Management
Ensuring customer satisfaction
At Konecranes, Putting Customers First is one of our core values. But how do we ensure every project meets our high standards?
Our project managers play a pivotal role in meeting the needs and expectations of our customers. They ensure that every project is executed according to our promises, maintaining project schedules, checking cost forecasts, and nurturing customer relationships.
The role of a project manager
The role of a project manager at Konecranes varies across business units, depending on the nature of the delivery. Projects can range from delivering a new bridge crane or modernizing an existing one to automating an entire port. With most roles involving international work, our project managers handle deliveries around the world. Project timelines can vary significantly, from a few weeks for installation projects to up to two years for port automation projects.
Who is suited for the role
If you are interested in leading projects, meeting customer needs, and collaborating with different stakeholders, the project manager role may be for you. We typically look for candidates with a relevant technical background, the ability to read technical documents or drawings, and some experience in managing projects or working in a project environment, such as a project engineer or team leader. As a project manager, strong communication and coordination skills, perseverance, and the desire to see tasks through to completion are essential.
A customer-oriented mindset is also a cornerstone of our work – we always put our customers first! If you have the drive to lead and the skills to manage complex projects, consider joining us as a project manager.
