Job Description

Position Title: Planning Manager

 

Reports To: Office Operations Manager

 

Konecranes is seeking an individual with exceptional leadership and customer service skills to join our team as a Planning Manager. In this role, you will be overseeing service delivery of the district. You will be the direct manager of the Service Schedule Coordinators, Technical Service Coordinators, and the logistics team within the district. Principal Responsibilities:

· Lead the district’s service coordinating organization, ensuring safe operations, premier customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.

· Directly manage, recruit, and onboard subordinates

· Establish training and development plans for direct reports

· Ensure all direct reports understand their responsibilities, necessary procedures and goals

· Manage the workload of direct reports. Coordinate with other Schedule Managers to “labor load” when necessary.

· Oversee all rework, warranty, install, and commissioning service requests within the district

· Conduct WIP reviews with Coordinators, and update local and district management when necessary

· Review any significant low performing service requests, perform root cause analysis, and implement actions to prevent the issues from reoccurring in the future

· Assist in the shaping of the new coordination organization: implement best practices, bring problems or issues to the attention of upper management.

· Proactively communicate with local and district management to improve operational efficiency

· Give feedback to local management on quality of inputs by field operatives into Siebel

· Follow and assist in the enforcement of all safety rules and procedures including those established by the customer.

· Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred, prior equivalent experience and training will be considered.

 

EXPERIENCE: Must be customer-oriented, have well-developed interpersonal, communication, organizational and PC skills and be able to prioritize tasks. Comfortable in an industrial environment. Willing to take on new and challenging tasks. Willingness to work overtime or additional hours as needed.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a take charge attitude, be decisive and possess a high level of responsibility. Must be comfortable in a fast pace, growth-oriented environment.
